This philosophy can be applied to many other objects as well. Not only was non-human nature seen to be reliable, but human nature (within limits) could be counted on. Most notably, Hans-Georg Gadamer and Alasdair MacIntyre have both, albeit in different ways, revived the tradition of Aristotelianism. This is the spirit by which Evolutionary Philosophy hopes to develop its beliefs. He considered the truths of both mathematics and ethics to be necessary, immutable, and eternal.
